The structure is an interpretation of a traditional Scottish Bothy that aims to express the importance of free public space in the urban environment.

Found form using RhinoVAULT - a plug-in for Rhino that employs Thrust Network Analysis developed by the Block Research Group. RhinoVAULT was used to design the Armadillo Vault which is a main source of inspiration and research for this structure.
